Install AutomationDock Database (optional)

The AutomationDock.adb database is in the installation zip folder and needs to be setup only once for all users. The file is shared by all users and does not require actual software installation, only simple setup:

  1. Place the file in a shared location where all AutomationDock users have access
  2. Shared folder must have read, write, create, and delete privileges enabled(default Windows security settings) for the AutomationDock users
    • For extra security, disable “list folder content” option
  3. Database file must have read, write, create privileges enabledfor the AutomationDock users
    • For extra security, disable “delete” file option
  4. Select the file location in AutomationDock settings – System Database tab
    • Note that the corporate version of AutomationDock has the file location encrypted to prevent misuse. AutomationDock admins can create the encrypted key for non-admin users
